Steam Guard Not Working MY problem and solution not recieving the guard link code via sms was that i had the standard sms app on HELIUM BACKUP this rooted backup app i didnt even have on my phone and i dont think its able to recieve any sms anyway correct me if im wrong therefor i checked and switched my android default messages app as a standard and then for gods
Earlier i had some problem with logging in where I entered the steam code on my mobile app but it says that its the wrong code So i turned it off I can now login to my desktop steam Now i m turning the mobile authenticator when the SMS comes with the code and i entered it it says wrong code aswell I have tried this atleast 10 No difference Migrating a steam guard gives 2 day trade ban while disabling then re enabling steam guard gives 15 day trade ban so migrating is the better of the two options We shouldn t need to do this for a password change and I am assuming it a bug with the new mobile app because I never had this issue with the old mobile app
